One simple explanation could be their absolute over-eagerness to please Delhi at the drop of a hat. It is one thing to be a staunch party loyalist (like Dr YSR) and totally another thing to be slavish to a personality (like Keshav Rao is to Mrs Sonia Gandhi). The problem with leaders (I use this word for lack of a better word) like DS and Keshava Rao is they have a not so impressive electoral track record. They lack vision, charisma and oratorical skills. Their only survival mechanism is their slavish attitude to the high command. This will naturally irk genuine leaders who have proven their mettle in the heat of electoral politics. Their grouse and anger is as genuine as it can get. Recently both DS and Keshav Rao were in the line of fire by many congressmen in the state for reportedly issuing motherhood statements like “those who talk against the leadership will be dealt with severely by high command”. The only problem, as pointed out by a local MLA was none of these two leaders could tell who were actually speaking in manner that was anti-high command! Put simply they were making noise to get noticed, and hence were annoying!!
