The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) has decided to name the Visakhapatnam cricket stadium after Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. ACA president G Gangaraju told reporters here on Monday that they have decided to name the stadium after the late chief minister keeping in view his services and support to the sports in general and cricket in particular.
He said that the naming of the prestigious stadium after YSR would be a tribute to the great leader. He said that an invitation tournament would also be conducted every year in the name of YSR.
However, Gangaraju refused to comment on the decision of woman player Durga Bhavani to withdraw the complaint against former secretary Chamundeswaranath. He said that he was not aware of the issue.
