Now that the issue of Jagan as CM has been kept in temporary but satisfactory abeyance it is worth asking the question as to “Why did KVP start the pro-Jagan campaign?” To answer this question one must look back into the history of the state Congress and how a young YSR Reddy suffered at the hands of senior political leaders ranging from P V Narasimha Rao, Kotla Vijaya Bhasker Reddy and N. Janardhan Reddy. Dr. YSR – a man who had never lost an election – was on numerous times at the receiving end of Machiavellian politics from senior Congressmen in the state. It was only genuine that KVP felt that such a fate should not befall Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. So KVP orchestrated this campaign to tell Delhi that their long term solution - as far as search for CM material - in A P is Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. To this end KVP’s campaign can be termed a resounding success. Thanks to KVP's effort and the resounding support that it genarated in the public, Jagan apart, no Congress leader in the state will now dare come forward and stake claim for the post of CM of the state.
