The work culture in the camp office is getting wobblier by the day. It was just yesterday that Rosayya declared that over 900 mandals in the state were drought hit. And yet, when he called for a review meeting with Raghuveera Reddy to discuss the modalities of tackling the drought, the agricultural minister simply cold shouldered the call and did not attend the meeting. What’s more he did not even bother to inform the CM. The mandarins in Delhi should better note this non-cooperation movement sweeping the political circles in Andhra. Delhi can do what it wants, but the pro-Jagan forces in Hyderabd can ratchet up the heat without even stepping into the streets. By simply staying away from their offices they can paralyse the government. Everyday Sonia delays her decision, she will bring the state one step closer to the political abyss. Things are so bad in sachivalayam that a senior bureaucrat observed that “The only political functionary attending office is K Rosaiah himself. I’ve never seen anything like this. It’s very disturbing. The administration has become a playground for politics.” Is Delhi tuned in to the ground reality in Hyderabad?
